The Town of Amo and the Interurban History Museum Committee is in the process of converting part of the Interurban building into a History Museum.

Hendricks County Bicentennial Memories Collection

Plainfield Public Library

The Indiana Room at the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library will collect memories online from Hendricks County residents and use them to create a printed book, forming the Hendricks County Bicentennial Memories Collection. Copies will be available in the circulating collection as well as other county libraries.

Museum Documentary

Cascade Middle School

The 8th-grade honors social studies class of Cascade Middle School has partnered with the Hendricks County Historical Museum to create a documentary highlighting unique artifacts in the museum. On Wednesday, March 13th at 6:00 p.m. this documentary will be shown free of charge at the Danville Royal Theater. Directly following the movie the Hendricks Historical County Museum will be opened for the public to see the artifacts shown in the film.

Hendricks County History Book

Reann Poray

Poray, manager of the local history department at the Plainfield Public Library as well as the editor for an updated Hendricks County History, will focus on post WWII to present day in creating an updated county history book. Every community will be included as well as numerous authors involved. The book will be published and available at public libraries and for purchase.

Hendricks County Bar Association Photo

Hendricks County Bar Association

A group photograph of current members of the Hendricks County Bar Association will be taken on the north steps of the Courthouse or in the Courthouse rotunda to document the association members during the county’s Bicentennial year.

Headstone/Funeral Home History

Eric MD Bell Funeral Home

The funeral home will place a headstone on the unmarked grave of their first client, buried in Lizton. In addition, a history of the Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, operating since 1859, is currently being completed.
